Forthcoming Publication of PAS 3621

The Door and Hardware Federation, (DHF) has recently announced the imminent publication of PAS 3621, which is due in January 2011

Designed primarily as a standard for specifying multipoint locking systems for replacement into existing doors, PAS 3621 aims to provide consumers and professionals alike, with a bench mark for selecting appropriate products.

Conceived as an equivalent to BS 3621, for single point locking, the standard subjects multipoint locks to the same attack methods and onerous mechanical loads, to ensure high levels of resistance to attack are achieved.

PAS 24 will continue as the security performance requirement for new door set assemblies, a standard to which all Homesafe products are rigorously tested.

As the composite door market leader, we continually strive to provide our customers with the highest levels of product performance, quality and service, and we will have a suite of options available to customers looking to offer products, tested to the most stringent performance standards.

For further information regarding the implications and applicability of PAS 3621, and Homesafe composite door products, please use our Ask the Experts link, or contact your Area Sales Manager.
